How these warrior names are built

Warriors are not a culture, so this generator borrows three from the Human generator and gives each a war-band’s worth of epithets. Northern names are Norse-flavoured (-ulf wolf, -mund protector, -hild battle); legionary names are Latinate (-us, -ius, -a); steppe names are horse-culture (-khan chieftain, -bek lord, -gul flower).

Epithets are cultural too. Northerners earn kennings (Shieldbreaker, Raven-Feeder, Wolf-Brother); legionaries earn service titles (of the Third Legion, Eagle-Bearer, Wall-Taker); steppe riders earn horse-and-bow names (Nine-Arrows, Two-Horses, the Unhorsed). Each carries a hint about the deed behind it.

For fighters defined by rank rather than culture, the Knight generator adds honorifics, seats and heraldry.
