Advertising & Affiliate Disclosure
Plain English: how the site pays for itself, and the rules we keep so it never gets in your way.
The short version
The generators are free and always will be. The site is paid for by advertising, and occasionally by
affiliate links in guides (dice, books, tabletop gear). Ads never appear inside the tool card and never
above the results on a phone. Affiliate links are marked where they appear and cost you nothing extra.
Advertising
We show display advertising provided by third-party networks. Our rules for it:
- No ads inside the generator card, between the controls and the names, or disguised as results.
- No ads above the generator on phones. You get names first.
- No popups, interstitials, autoplaying video or ads that follow you as you scroll.
- Ad partners may use cookies to personalise and measure ads; see the privacy policy for your choices.
Affiliate links
Some guides link to products such as dice sets, Dungeon Master screens or books on worldbuilding. Where a link is an affiliate link, we may earn a small commission if you buy after clicking it, at no extra cost to you. We link to things we would recommend anyway, and a commission never changes what we recommend. We participate in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program among others.
What we do not do
- We do not sell generated names, shortlists or any user data.
- We do not accept payment to feature a generator or to alter its output.
- We do not run sponsored content presented as a guide without labelling it as sponsored.
