Un monstruo tiene el nombre que gruñe y el que susurra el pueblo. Aquí consigues los dos: un nombre gutural con su significado y la leyenda que cuentan los vecinos.

Cómo se construyen estos nombres de monstruos
En el folclore los monstruos rara vez tienen nombre; tienen descripciones que se endurecen hasta convertirse en nombre: the Thing in the Well, the Tall Man of the Fen, the Widow of the Woods. Los nombres populares de este generador siguen ese patrón, cada uno con una pista sobre dónde se encuentra la criatura o qué hace, porque un buen nombre de monstruo es también un gancho de aventura.
El nombre propio de la bestia, cuando la ambientación le da uno, es corto y gutural: ataques en gr, sk, th y gh, vocales oscuras y cierre duro (-k, -g, -th). Esta gramática construye una o dos sílabas con terminaciones que significan algo: -oth (el devorador), -ak (el desgarrador), -gul (el acechador), -thra (el de muchos miembros), -ur (el antiguo).
Usa Solo nombre de bestia para un antagonista con nombre propio y Solo nombre popular para el rumor que el grupo oye en la posada. La forma combinada es lo que el bardo escribe después.
